FaceDoodle

My first real attempt at a digital painting.
....boy do i got a lot to learn.
 Done in Photoshop

3 Creeps and 3 Aliens

This is a drawing from my sketchbook. So the concept here is weird and playful.
I tried to stick anatomy into interesting silhouette shapes and just have fun.

More from my sketchbook. This time three aliens.
My goal was to make design elements fused into anatomical detail.
and just plain creepy.

Head Concepts Sketchbook

These are excerpts from different sketchbooks from different times in my art studies. All no reference from my strange little mind. Actually this is the usual "fun stuff" i do. I just try to remember all my studies i learned and apply it to different proportions.

Samurai and General Sketchbook

These are excepts from my sketchbook the guy on the right was done during class and is a sort of sci-fi stereotypical military officer. and the miffed mouthed busts are based on "flat" Ukiyo-e paintings. My goal was to "flesh" these paintings into anatomical representations while still maintaining there exaggerated visage.

MMA vs Dicks Sketchbook

More cartoony stuff from various sketchbooks i have. Oh by the way the first two on the right will make an appearance in 3d. They are the detectives hired to track Frank down.

Mummy Boy Concept Work

This composite is an example of my first impressions (around) as well as last impression (center) of what I felt this character would look like.

This composite is of the different ideas I had for posing this guy. I had alot of fun thinking up different ways a kid could be a mummy. My client told me it had to be cute not scary. Either way it was a gas.

Peasant Waitress ModelSheet

This is the modelsheet i designed and used to build the Waitress character. She was actually created simultaneously with Nos. I always wanted to do a series of characters for my Nos character. She would serve as the "victim" as well as "romantic" interest to Nos.

Dwarf ModelSheet

This is the modelsheet i designed and used to build the Dwarf character. He is a character based on an idea i had for retelling "mythology". I always wondered why great stories throughout cultures usually describe "creatures" as men-like. I've always loved reading stories, when i was a child, about creatures and myths. Stories of Fishermen mistaking seal-lions for mermaids laying on rocks gave me the inspiration for this fellow. I thought perhaps men could have interpreted the Fantasy-Dwarf as having a "beard", because how else could man describe it? I could go on forever... haha but I'll save that for another day.

Nos ModelSheet

This is the modelsheet i designed and used to build the Nos character. This is my take on Nosferatu. He's more of a poorer pathetic kinda guy, but still charming. My goal was to create a very exaggerated character with lots of charm.

Frank the Convict ModelSheet

So this is the modelsheet i designed and used to build the Frank character. The Idea behind this character is that he's around 60 years old and just escaped from prison circa 1930. His clothing reflects typical southern prison uniforms from that time. I wanted an easily readable silhouette. The hair design reflects Franks' love of Cigars, Similar to a puff of smoke.

Snorri ModelSheet

This is the modelsheet i designed and used to build the Snorri character. Snorri was a character that i designed for a games collaborative at AAU. The written description was created by Faust Mesias ( a great artist and friend of mine ) and I was asked to make this goat character with the spirit of a great mentor. Oh and I had to give him a "vice". I thought that Drinking, though funny as hell, would be quite a task without hands. So i gave em' a pipe instead.
