What an amazing experience it's been working at Visual Concepts. My first Job here at the studio was as part of the Character Pipeline for NBA 2k10 and 2k11. My primary job was to nail down Player likeness. While the Eye's are all shared assests, the Texture maps and Geo are unique.

Smackdown vs. Raw work

Finally! So this is one of the games I worked on while at BlackPoint Studios. I created and Sculpted the Models and Textures for Doink and Butch of the bushwhackers as well as the body for Ted Dibiase Jr. It was definately pretty cool to work on some characters I grew up seeing wrestle. hopefully more to come.

MLB 2k11 Animated Normal Sculpt

This above is the Animated normal map source mesh I sculpted for MLB 2K11. The mesh was modeled by another artist where I then subdivided, posed and sculpted the expressions/Detail.
This head was later broken up into regions. This allowed us to have wrinkles triggered, adding further depth to the blendshape animation.

(W.I.P.) Mac

I plan on making the full model of this truly Awesome Character. He is the movie Predator! In my mind, the scene when Bill Duke's character "Mac" pick's up "old Painless" and go's apeshit, is the definition of the word Iconic!

... More to come

The sculpts were created in Zbrush 4 using alpha's for the micro detail, than baked for the normal maps using xnormal. I then created an "in-game" mesh using 3d Coat. The skin and vest textures are hand painted (no photo's used) and the shirt was created with decal stencil's generated in Photoshop and projected in Bodypaint 3d as was the hair. The textured verson's were screengrabed with Marmoset toolbag realtime software.

This was an art test:
What your seeing here is the result of trying my best to stay true to the concept image: here ( should be at the bottom somewhere) and looking at the old art from the original game to Frankenstein" a cohesive model.
